I’m off to Croatia again this weekend and I couldn’t be more excited! Hopefully the weather is a lot better this weekend. While we were there the last time, I visited Krka National Park.
Krka, which is named for the river that encloses it, is a National Park in Croatia filled with beautiful waterfalls. During the right conditions you can jump in and swim. Or, you can always hike the beautiful trails that are around. During summertime the park is packed with hundreds of tourists. People come to picnic, they come to hike and they come to swim.
The park is made up of several different areas, but we were only able to check out the main one due to time constraints. If you’re going, I suggest going to see some of the smaller waterfalls. Its by far one of the most beautiful national parks in Croatia and is a must see if you find yourself spending a lot of time exploring the whole country of Croatia or just a short amount of time near Split.
There are several restaurants located around the grounds of Krka National Park. They serve pretty basic fare, but its satisfying enough after a long day of exploring.
