I love to share my travels with each and every one of you. I have a lot of fun reminiscing about the things that I’ve been able to do. And while most of it is good, sometimes things go wrong or I get homesick or frustrated. I can’t always speak to people about it because the first thing they say to me is “You’re traveling the world! What do you have to be frustrated about?”
With that being said, I will be starting a new series (twice a month) on my blog called “The Truth About Travel.” I’m excited to do this because life isn’t always a pretty photo you find on Instagram..things happen, unforeseen circumstances come into play and sometimes everything doesn’t go as planned…. And you learn from these situations.
Many travel bloggers don’t talk about how sometimes its hard to be away from home for an extended period of time. Being away from family and friends can put a strain on relationships and it can get lonely from time to time. On the other hand, I’ve met some of my best friends from being able to travel. We have adventures together and memories that I don’t have with some of my oldest friends.
I know that I’m lucky to do everything that I do, but I work really hard to be able to travel. I don’t have a lot of money, nor do I have a lot of material things that other people my age are starting to have! It’s sometimes challenging to find common ground with people I’ve been friends with for years, but to me, the tradeoff is totally worth it.
I’m hoping that this series helps give you all a clearer picture of who I am, how I’ve gotten to do the things I do and how I deal with things like being homesick, having plans fall through and much more!
If there’s anything you’d like me to write about, please let me know!
