While I’m on the road, I love to eat everything in sight. I believe that you have to dig into the local cuisine to get to know a place the right way. So, when I’m not traveling, and I’m at home, I like to eat healthy. That means that I’m constantly trying to find easy ways to eat clean. And that’s when I discovered Daily Harvest.
All About Daily Harvest
Daily Harvest was started because the founder, Rachel Dori, wanted to be able to have a delicious smoothie. But, she didn’t have the time to go out, find the ingredients, and prep them. And man oh man, did she create the greatest life hack I have ever seen. Daily Harvest is a subscription service that brings six cups of frozen ingredients to your door each month, ready to be blended into a delicious smoothie.
The Smoothies And Soups
Perhaps my favorite part about it is that a lot of the ingredients that are used, are actually really hard to find on your own in the store. Also, the flavors are so delicious. My favorite is Watermelon and Cucumber or maybe Peach and Strawberry! For those two, you just add coconut water to the cup of frozen ingredients, and then toss them into the blender and blend away. Some of the flavors like Avocado and Cocoa or Chocolate and Blueberry will taste better with almond milk!
If you aren’t into smoothies (which would be crazy to me haha), you can also try Daily Harvest’s soups. I tasted Mushroom and Miso, and Zucchini and Black Garlic. Both soups were so delicious and so easy to make. All I did was add water and pop them into the microwave for five minutes.
So, here’s a bit more information. Daily Harvest smoothies and soups are actually healthier for you than the ones you’d be making at home. The reason for that is that the ingredients are frozen right after being picked, which means that they are more full of nutrients. You’ll have to read more about it on their site!
And for all of you out there who would like to try some of their smoothies, Daily Harvest is giving #travelcolorfully readers three smoothies free with your first purchase by using code taylorfuller.
Enjoy and let me know how you like them!
