#Checking In: Washington Park Hotel

Washington Park Hotel

Even though I’m only an hour away from Miami, I love zipping down there for a long weekend. And Washington Park Hotel makes it seem like I’m on vacation the second I check in. The art deco hotel, located in South Beach, is the perfect home base while you explore everything that Miami has to offer. Close to the beach (and with it’s own beach access/chairs), Washington Park Hotel is anything but an ordinary place. Checking Into Washington Park Hotel…

Travel Inspiration

Travel Photographers & Their Favorite Travel Gear

***My favorite part of blogging is the community that I’ve created, and that includes all of the amazing influencers that I’ve been able to meet (either in real life or via the internet). Because of that (and because I’m constantly inspired by the people I follow) I’ll be starting a new series where every other week I ask a few of my favorite travel bloggers/Instgrammers/photographers/influencers/badasses some questions about the things they won’t go on a trip without. #Checking In: The Kinney Venice Beach

The kinney venice beach

Now if I’m being honest, I have to share that I wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of Venice Beach (I will however say I loved Abbot Kinney Blvd.). I mean there was literally a wall that said Wanderlust on it. Checking In: The Kinney Venice Beach…

8 Things You Can’t Miss In LA

things you can't miss in LA

I’m not really big into the touristy things when I’m traveling. Sure, I believe that you have to check out some of them, but it’s not necessary to spend your entire trip doing them. That’s why Hannah and I decided that we didn’t want to make the trip to Hollywood, or really do any crazy touristy things (but yes we did make a trip to Rodeo drive). So now you’re probably  thinking about things you can’t miss in LA. What do you think…

#Checking In: The Carlyle Inn

carlyle inn

After spending several nights on the road, I was so excited to be checking into an adorable boutique hotel bordering Beverly Hills. The Carlyle Inn is a breath of fresh air when it comes to hotels in LA. It’s a smaller property (with only 32 rooms) and is the perfect oasis from the traffic ridden streets of LA. Checking In: The Carlyle Inn While the affordable hotel is close by to Beverly Hills, the famous Rodeo Drive, LACMA, and several…

Road Tripping The Pacific Coast Highway

pacific coast highway

Despite the little hiccup we had regarding my health during our trip to California, my favorite part of the entire trip was road tripping the Pacific Coast Highway. Luckily Hannah was a trooper and drove the entire way. So we hopped in our Jucy van and made our way from Lake Tahoe to Santa Cruz. From there we spent the night at a small hotel in town and drove to Monterey to check out the 17 mile drive. After that…
