Moving is a pain in the ass. There is no question about it! And now that you’ve found a place to live and you’re about to move out of your current place, what happens at the end of your tenancy? And what are you responsible for? Well, first thing’s first. Always read your lease. Each landlord is different and everyone’s responsibilities will change depending on what’s included in it. For me, one of the things that we are responsible for is an End of Tenancy Clean. And it’s definitely the best way to ensure you get as much of your deposit back as possible because an End of Tenancy Clean is a deep clean that can get rid of signs of wear and tear in a lot of cases!
End of Tenancy Clean in London
A few months ago Fantastic Services came and cleaned my house. And after they did such an incredible job with it, I knew that I had to reach out again to see if they’d come back and do the End of Tenancy Clean. Thankfully they agreed!
What’s Included in an End of Tenancy Clean?
Most end of tenancy cleans include a deep oven cleaning, refrigerator cleaning, and general deep clean of the entire house. Fantastic Services do a free re-clean within 72 hours if needed, and they follow a checklist approved by estate agencies. The service is not based on number of hours. They work for as long as necessary to ensure that the house is in great shape for the new tenants. When they cleaned my old house, they arrived around 9 AM and were there until nearly 6:30 PM.
Additions and Cost
You can add additional services like wall spot cleaning, carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, and window cleaning if you need that too! It’s a great idea if you had a pet living with you and you want to get rid of any signs that they were ever there!
Prices of course differ depending on how big your home is and how much you want cleaned. But, they generally start at 100 pounds for a studio flat and go up from there. Again, you’re not paying an hourly rate! They will make sure your house is sparkling…when I came in to drop my keys off before leaving, one of the cleaners was scrubbing the wood on the stairs with a toothbrush! They really pay attention to detail and know what estate agents and landlords look for when taking inventory.
If you’re interested in using one of their services (they also do removals, gardening, handyman work, and more) use the referral code taylorfuller (as one word) for 10 pounds off your first appointment (or just click here)!
