One thing that you must do when visiting Florence is walk up to the top of Giotto’s Bell Tower, better known as the Duomo Bell Tower. The view is stunning because you get to see the gorgeous red dome of the Duomo alongside the rooftops of Florence.
When you purchase a ticket to visit the Duomo, you have access to both the Bell Tower and the Duomo. Its a bit ambitious to climb both in one day, but you can definitely do it. Well worth the 414 step climb, you’ll get sweeping views of the gorgeous Renaissance city. Walk up on a sunny day so you can get the perfect photos of the orange/red rooftops against blue skies.
