I recently traveled to a new part of Spain with Jet2holidays. Mojacar (no, it’s not Mallorca spelled incorrectly), is located in the south of Spain. It’s a cute seaside town located in Andalusia. Mojacar is the perfect town to visit for a weekend trip and Jet2Holidays offers packages so you can do just that!
Exploring Mojacar With Jet2holidays
Getting There
Fly from London Stansted Airport on your Jet2 Flight to Almeria. Once you land, a representative will be there to meet you to whisk you away to your Jet2holidays Costa de Almeria hotel.
Where To Stay
Jet2holidays has a number of properties that you can choose from on your visit. We had the pleasure of staying at the Alegria Palacio Mojacar, which actually was a palace at one point. The hotel is very comfortable. It’s an 18+ hotel, which makes it a quieter option if you aren’t traveling with children.
There is a swimming pool, a buffet that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a golf course next door. It is also located a short walk from the beach.
Things To Do In Mojacar
The great thing about Mojacar is that there is so much to do in this town! Here are a few of my can’t miss activities!
Visit The Old Town
Mojacar Pueblo is by far the most charming place in the city. The whitewashed buildings and the small, winding alleys will really draw you in. It’s possible to spend hours wandering around the village. While there you can take in the sweeping views of both the desert and sea in front of you, shop at the adorable boutiques, or stroll through the streets, stumbling upon some magical corner.
Take A Hike
The La Mena Macenas footpath is the perfect place to go for a low-intensity hike. During this short hike, you will walk along the coastline. Don’t forget to look down at the sparkling blue sea!
Admire The Coastline From A Kayak
Hire out a kayak and spend a few hours admiring the coastline of Mojacar. Kayak from the beach to the Torre del Pirulico and then circle back! I suggest bringing some snorkeling gear with you so you can see some of the fish and coral reefs below!
Take A Golf Lesson
Hop in your golf cart at the Marina Golf Club or try your hand at the driving range if you’re not quite ready to take on 18 holes. Either way, do yourself a favor and book a lesson so you can get the basics down before your next adventure!
Hop On An ATV
Hop on an ATV and explore the arid deserts of Mojacar. Drive up to the Torre del Pirulico so you can take in the view from the top. An ATV is a perfect way to see the area and Indalo Quads will help you find a tour that you’ll enjoy.
