Now if I’m being honest, I have to share that I wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of Venice Beach (I will however say I loved Abbot Kinney Blvd.). But, staying at The Kinney Venice Beach was the bright spot during that portion of the trip to California. As soon as we stepped out of the Uber and into the lobby, I was blown away by the decor. I mean there was literally a wall that said Wanderlust on it.

It got even better after we were greeted by the receptionist. She handed us our keys and we stepped into the elevator. As the doors opened, I noticed so much color. And you know me with color. The walls are lined with murals, painted with bright colors. And as if it couldn’t get better (I know, I’m getting repetitive), when we opened up our door and walked into our suite I nearly fell down.
In a good way of course.
The Room
We were lucky to have the chance to stay in one of the suites at the brand new Kinney Venice Beach. It comes complete with a little nook with a mini fridge and area to keep some snacks, a living room, small table/desk, bathroom, and gorgeous king bedroom. The brightly colored wallpaper and quirky details like the comic book inspired nightstand add so much personality to the fun property. It definitely made sense that it’s down the road from Abbot Kinney Blvd.
The Property
You can rent bicycles from the valet and take them for a spin on the Venice Boardwalk. Or if you care for a dip, hop into the wading pool on the second floor. There’s also an area for sunbathing and a cool little bar area (where you can probably prepare your own drinks if you wanted). The vibe is fantastic.
You can choose to enjoy the continental breakfast on the first floor, down the hall from the lobby and you can also break a sweat at the gym!
