Sometimes you just need to treat yourself to a staycation! And after a few very stressful weeks in London, I was really excited when I checked into La Suite West for the night. I don’t know what it is, but there’s just something about staying in a hotel that makes you feel immediately relaxed. And when you’re lucky enough to stay somewhere where the staff makes you feel like you’re home, that makes it 100x better.
Checking In: La Suite West
La Suite West is located on a quiet street near Hyde Park in West London. It’s in a very convenient location as it’s right off of both the Central line and District and Circle Lines. Plus, it’s only a ten-minute walk from Paddington Station, which is great if you’re coming from Heathrow Airport!
It’s close to the West End and Notting Hill, making it a great home base for a trip to London.
About The Hotel
The Rooms
When you check into La Suite West, you’ll instantly be greeted by the staff. The minimalist hotel is on a quiet street and the modern rooms will make you feel very comfortable during your stay. Choose from a Superior Double, Petite Double, Long Stay Bedroom, Junior Suite, or Family Room.
I checked into the Junior Suite and it was really beautiful. My favorite part (aside from the big comfy bed) was the marble bathroom complete with a massive bathtub, which I definitely used during my stay. The room also featured a table and chairs, couch, desk, and coffee/tea area.
Tea At La Suite West
I can’t recommend the Vegan Afternoon Tea at La Suite West more! It was so delicious. I had never experienced a vegan tea before and it was actually extremely satisfying — in fact, it may have been the largest tea I have ever had!
The menu features items like falafel, spring onion, chili sauce and lettuce finger sandwiches, scones with whipped coconut cream, and a selection of cakes and desserts. And don’t worry, if you can’t finish it all, grab the rest to go and leave it in your mini fridge for later!
Amenities
The hotel has a beautiful outdoor terrace where you can eat or have a drink on a nice day. Enjoy free, complimentary breakfast as well.
There’s also a small gym with the essentials so you can get a work out in during your stay.
