Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, so naturally you’re probably thinking about really romantic things–gifts, dates, even foods…. But what about a romantic trip? Here are seven romantic travel destinations to visit this year with your sweetheart.
1. Capri, Italy
Kiss each other under the Arco Naturale to guarantee eternal love. Take a dip in the Blue Grotto. Dine on delicious, fresh seafood and pasta. Whatever it is that you do in Capri, its bound to be magical.
2. Venice, Italy
Wander the beautiful winding canals of Venice. Take a gondola ride Under the Bridge of Sighs and bask in your eternal love (Italy is all about that eternal love). Drink Prosecco for hours while sitting by the Grand Canal. Take a day trip to the island of Burano to see the whimsical little town.
3. Paris, France
Paris is the “city of love,” and rightfully so. Stumble down romantic streets, kiss on the metro platform and be surrounded by thousands of other people who are in love. Everywhere you go you’ll be reminded of how perfect it is to be in love in Paris.
4. Southern Thailand
Take a relaxing vacation with your lover to several of the Islands of the South of Thailand. You’ll never see anything more beautiful than the blue water and white sand.
5. Charleston, South Carolina
Charleston has an old, classic feeling to it and with the many delicious restaurants, its the perfect place to head for a weekend getaway. Dine on delectable southern comfort foods, take in some history and walk hand-in-hand through the historical downtown area.
6. Savannah, Georgia
Spend hours wandering from square to square under the Spanish Moss covered trees. Take in some of the art that can be found throughout the city thanks to SCAD. And after dinner grab a “to-go” cup full of wine and head down to the riverfront.
7. Prague, Czech Republic
Prague is an old and perfectly quaint city. Head there during the colder months to snuggle up with your sweetie and share a glass of mulled wine while taking in the beautiful outdoor markets and old architecture.
