I love food. And I love history. So, when you combine the two and come up with an awesome food tour, I’m there. I went on a food tour of the East End with Eating Europe the last time I was in London and I was not disappointed. So, when I relocated here, I knew I had to go on another adventure with Eating Europe Tours.
Eating Europe Tours
If you didn’t see my last post, Eating Europe offers tours all over Europe. You can hop on tours in London, Prague, Rome, Florence, and Amsterdam. The tours teach you about the history of the different parts of the cities you explore, as well as take you to delicious eateries.
Twilight Soho Food Tour
I really wanted to take this tour the last time I was in London but the timing just didn’t work out. So, when I knew I’d be in London for a while, I reached back out to Eating Europe Tours and asked if we could make it happen this time. So we did!
The tour lasts about three and a half hours and takes you to six different spots in the Soho area. You’ll be joined by an awesome tour guide (shout out to Joe and Adam who killed it) who will tell you all about the history of the area and the places you’ll be dining at. I didn’t know much about Soho, but I learned that it used to be the seedy part of town. (Think prostitutes, speakeasies, sex shops, and well, you get the idea).
I don’t like to reveal everything about these food tours –because being surprised is half the fun! But, I can say that I seriously enjoyed everything I tasted!
So How Much Does The Tour Cost and What’s Included?
The Twilight Soho Food Tour will run you 94 pounds but you’ll not only get a knowledgeable tour guide, but you’ll also get food and cocktails at six different establishments (that makes 12 tastings). The portions are perfect and the drink sizes will leave you with a buzz, but not drunk.
The tours take place in the evening Tues-Fri, beginning at 4 or 4:30 PM. Definitely, sign up! You won’t be disappointed!
Travel Colorfully was a welcomed guest of Eating Europe, but as always all opinions are my own.
